1. I’m most excited about experiencing another culture, way of life, and different worldview/world mindset. This alone is going to help me prepare for many different situations I may come across in my future. I’m also extremely exited about spending more time with the amazing IYLS group – the students and teachers are the most fantastic people in the city!
2. The above (first point) is also what I’m most worried about – it sort of works in two different ways. The experience is going to be amazing, but the drastic change is going to be very foreign, and as a result, as excited as I am, I’m still nervous about that.
3. I hope to learn one interesting fact below the tip-of-the-iceberg, as we’ve been talking about in intercultural studies, about each person going on the trip!
